Anyone else’s LO not wanting to sit up?

My son just turned 8 months a few days ago and he isn’t sitting up on his own. If I sit him up he will stay there for a bit but doesn’t seem interested in it. Should he be sitting up by now?

Claire’s pretty tippy. She sits but falls pretty quickly if she’s not paying attention. Haha. 8 months this past Sunday.

My friends baby will not stay sitting up very long either. We sit the babies side by side to get a picture and her babe almost immediately goes to his tummy to start army crawling. He is the busiest baby I’ve ever seen lol just doesn’t have the time to sit up because he has places to be. It’s the cutest thing.

My son wouldn't sit up on his own at all until about 3 days ago. Now he does it all the time. He is 8 1/2 months old

One of mine gets too distracted by everything and lunges for things so she doesn’t still up for long.
