Last minute induction scheduled
Just spent the second night in L&D yesterday, I had contractions from 9 AM - 6 PM starting 5 minutes apart, and got all the way down to 3 minutes apart. And then they stalled out which happens literally every single time I’ve gone into labor. With both of my girls labors they had to break my water to get things moving again. Well apparently there’s a new law where it’s now illegal for them to break your water before 39 weeks, I was 38+5 days 😩 so I’m sitting at 5cm fully effaced and baby incredibly low, getting sent home. I was told I need to put my feet up and wait till Friday morning and they were going to induce me.
I am the one who just lost my home from the storm here in Texas, and we are now far away from my hospital staying with family now, and they worry about me going into labor naturally with how progressed I am so they want to plan it instead. I never thought I’d want an induction but at this point I feel like it’s better to have a plan, especially considering the situation I’m in.
Still it sucks knowing we are about to have a baby in a couple days and I’ll be too stressed trying to find us a new home to be able to just rest and focus on her. Such terrible timing.
