Were you or someone you know able to have a natural/no intervention birth with high blood pressure?

Question

Because I have elevated blood pressure a doctor diagnosed me with hypertension. My blood pressure has never been 140/90+ so I strongly disagree with the diagnosis but there’s nothing I can do about that at this point. For those who had a similar diagnosis were you able to have a natural birth without intervention? If not, what happened? Thank you.

I had to be induced at 38 weeks. It was straight up hell. Started induction on 14th, pm, and had baby on 17th, early am, via c-section. After my c-section I stayed the 2 days that you normally have to stay, but my blood pressure was still so high even on the medicine they had me on, I had to stay for an extra day for monitoring until it went down and stayed under 140/90. I left the hospital on 2 blood pressure medications. At my last appointment I got taken off of the procardia and I’m still on labetalol until next month, if she thinks it’s okay to take me off. I’ll be 10 weeks pp on Thursday. Also, thanks for this because I realized I didn’t take my medicine today and I’m about to go do that. 😅😂

Do you think the diagnosis is inaccurate? I went through tons of blood pressure crap where my OBGYN basically told me my blood pressure was high and my cardiologist had to basically tell her that it was a fluke reading and I was being treated for chronic low blood pressure. 🤦‍♀️
Fluke BPs are really common. I’d highly recommend getting a high quality cuff to measure at home if you’re concerned. Record and take your results to your appointments if you find they are different!

Its the bottom number that is the biggest concern. Anything over 80 is high

I was induced at 39 weeks with a cook catheter. That hurts pretty bad so by the time I was in active labor I opted very quickly for the epidural. I gave birth vaginally though.

I had HBP with my first and ended up getting induced at 37+4. It was a nightmare. Had contractions for 2.5 days, had my water broken and still didn’t dilate. Ended up having an emergency csection 57hrs in.
