Let me tell you. I’ve stayed with my narcissistic boyfriend & now father of my child. He cheated and gaslighted me so much it destroyed my self esteem and mental health. Leave before it’s too late. I now how to deal with this man for the rest of my life because we share a child together. Leave. Nothing is more valuable than you mental health

I would date a narcissist who is aware & in therapy- which incredibly rare- 
But I would never stay with someone manipulative or emotionally abusive. I have been in an abusive relationship, and I can't even tolerate a little bit. I call it out or just walk away & fully lose attraction to people who display red flags. 
Anyone can be manipulative & emotionally abusive, not just narcissists. I have only met one narcissist who wasn't abusive, and they still have downfalls most people wouldn't put up with.

My bf is narcissistic and does try to gaslight me, problem is I’m calm and reserved. I can go by with not acknowledging him and go about my day so his tactics don’t work on me. I pretty much always find a way for it to not get to me or sometimes what he says doesn’t phase me. Over the years he has become better and doesn’t do it as much. I think because I wouldn’t entertain it so he stopped with me, but with his family it is a different story because he and his mom are almost the same and fight. Pretty much why I ignore it since I can’t blame him, I try to teach him to communicate the right way and I explain to him why his actions are extreme sometimes, he was raised that way and his mom gets disrespected by almost everything as she is bipolar so he just thought it was normal to always fight. His whole family actually including older cousins and grandpas (pretty much all males) are like this. He has changed and is continuing to also so I stay with him because of this, he isn’t trying to keep the cycle going as he now sees how disrespectful they are to their gf/wives. He doesn’t like going to his family events and prefers my family, is sweet with me, sticks up for me, it pretty much depends on if they are willing to do what they can to keep you happy.
