Getting pregnant

I have been trying to get pregnant since June 2020. Went to my dr a couple of days ago and she ordered some tests. She said my fasting glucose is a little high but my hormones and everything are ok. They want to start me on Metformin. Has anyone gotten pregnant after starting Metformin? She also recommended weight loss. I am 5’4” and a little under 250 pounds. I know I am overweight but I guess I didn’t consider myself big enough to not be able to get pregnant. It’s really disheartening because I know women my size or bigger who are having children. I don’t know why my body isn’t doing what it’s supposed to.
