How many poops a day?

How often does your baby poop? Our boy is 5 weeks now. He had soooo many poopy diapers before we recognized an allergy. Now that I’ve cut that out of my diet for him he has only pooped once. It just seems weird to go from 8 a few days ago to 1 today. I am worried something is wrong.

Mine poops 1-3 times every other day. Usually it’s only once every two days. He’s formula and breastfed

If its a breastfed baby they can actually go several days without pooping. As long as its not hard, its fine. 
How did you figure the allergy ?

i’m exclusively breastfeeding my LO is almost 7 weeks old and she use to poop literally once every 2-3 days. now that she’s growing i’ve been noticing she goes more often about 2 times every day

My son was doing the same pooped so much when we first brought him home, around 3-4 weeks he scared me cause he started going pretty much a whole day without pooping but was grunting a lot. Had to do with immature digestive system. He now poops 1-2 a day and it’s perfectly fine. Doctor said around 4 weeks of age breastfed babies can go even days without pooping and could look like constipation but it’s not. No need to worry mama!

We also have a cows milk allergy and there is a small amount of poop every nappy change. It’s half liquid half green mucus 🤦🏽‍♀️ just cut dairy the last 2 days so hopefully we have less poops soon too! 🤞🏼
My first had it too and it took a few weeks for everything to go to normal. I think he went to only doing 1 poop per day!

Mine pooped five times a day, and now we're down to about three. She did go a full 24 hours without pooping once. We also have a dairy allergy, I think, and have just changed our diet.
