White bits after sex? Tested - Not yeast

Trying to get to the bottom of a kinda weird and gross problem I’ve been having. I know none of you are doctors but I’m wondering if anyone else has ever had this in the history of ever?

Whenever my partner and I have sex in the middle of my cycle I get all these little white bits. Kind of like little bits of toilet paper come out of me and get all over. It’s been off and on for ages, and only happens in the middle of my cycle - Before and after is fine. We kinda figured that was just me but over recent months it’s worse.

I’m not on any contraceptives, we use condoms and lube. Smears are up to date, every 3 years here, next one due later this year. One partner for 7 years and other’s firsts. No STI history or suspicion on either of us. No pain during sex. My sister does have endometriosis so bad it need an operation last year as it has become a huge cyst that was very painful. I don’t have any abdominal pain, occasional aches sure but nothing long lasting.

There is no intense itching - Occasional itching I would put down to shaving and I’d also get some annoying teeny tiny little cuts down there I again put down to shaving. Though I when I stopped shaving I would still get them. When we have sex and this happens it can feel drier and grittier and slightly burning but not painful. I don’t get this discharge coming out in my underwear.

Last year I did have a bad UTI that was treated with antibiotics and for months after I felt like a weird sensation in my urethra like I wanted to pee kinda? Told the doctors about it sent a urine sample, told nothing there and take cranberry supplements for a sensitive bladder. Did so and still do. It got better over months but still comes and goes sometimes, I started putting it down to anxiety.

Last month I called the doctors, at first she was not interested as I knew she wouldn’t be which is why I put off going for a while. (Covid rules only phone appointments to start off) Eventually she agreed to see me and did the pelvic exam etc she looked and said it looks ‘rashy’ and the discharge I had looked yeasty. She sent off the test and prescribed me a yeast treatment and told me to use it before the results came back. They promptly lost the test but kept me hanging for two weeks before telling me despite me ringing up multiple times so no idea what that showed.

Next month rolls round and we have exactly the same thing except worse really, we gets bits before the middle of the month and then at the middle we get this weird grainy bits different to before. I mean I have pictures of the stuff but it’s TMI. Now I was feeling kinda itchy and wanting to pee with that weird sensation was back again.

Back to the doctors I went, saw a male doctor this time and shows him the photos and went all back over it. He says sounds like yeast prescribe me the same yeast stuff and a self-swab to do and bring back. I used the treatment I was prescribed and yep I feel less itchy now.

Today the test result are back. It says. No abnormality. No yeast. No nothing.

To be honest I’m kinda feeling crazy now and like I’m making this up. My partner is very loving and cool with all this but I am finding it quite off putting and it’s ruining our sex life as instead of enjoying myself I’m constantly wondering if we are going to get all these bit or not. We also want to start a family next year so if there is a problem we need to know sooner rather than later.

Has anyone else had anything like this?
