Not take prenatal?

Question

Did anyone not take prenatals? Severe nausea/vomiting still and can’t keep anything down. I gag each time I try to take mine but I went down the google rabbit hole and now am stressing. 
(First pregnancy my dr okayed not taking them due to me throwing them up regardless. This is my second and for some reason I’m stressing hard core over this)

I can’t take them.  If I take them I puke all day/night and can’t eat a thing.  My doctor told me it’s better to be able to get natural nutrients from healthy food choices and keep it down than vomit up artificial nutrients

I took them during my first pregnancy. My placenta ended up degrading early and fast and she had to come out early or she wouldn’t make it. She came out 4.11lb. My second I took them half way through but I started getting pain in my gallbladder so I stopped(they can cause gallstones) my baby came out 6.5lb at 37 weeks and 3 days perfectly healthy. My third I think I took them for a month and stopped because I kept forgetting. I just opted for eating healthy and staying hydrated to make up for it. He was absolutely perfect. 7lb and came at 38 weeks perfectly healthy . So for me, prenatals are a definite no go for me. But everyone is different.

My OB recommended taking a prenatal that doesn’t contain or￼￼ is low in iron, like gummies (I took VitaFusion) or Flintstones. And he suggested taking them with at night. 
But there are plenty of women who find out late or are sick throughout their whole pregnancy (and you know they aren’t staying down) that have healthy babies. Back in the day it wasn’t even a thing.

My doctor okayed me not taking them after 16 weeks. I had pregnancy induced IBS so they wrecked my stomach. I had to supplement through my diet. Definitely listen to what your doctor advises.

I didn’t take them at the end of my last pregnancy. This time, I found some that I LOVE and don’t make me sick. Just wish they weren’t $35 a bottle 🥴

I take them when I remember. They have this smoothie mix (don't remember the name) that is supposed to help with nausea and has a daily prenatal in it.

Also try the breakfast essential smoothies they are great for pregnancy and giving you extra vitamins or vitamins in general. I’m currently coming out of the first trimester with my second and nausea and vomiting is strong the breakfast essential smoothies are a game changer for me and sometimes it’s the only thing i can get down

Have you tried the gummies or the pills and if so you’re dr can prescribe one that doesn’t make you sick

I had HG bad the first trimester and could not stomach any prenatal whatsoever. I found vitafusion actually stayed down if I took them at night before bed with my nausea rx. I started taking them around 11 weeks and was extremely worried about my baby and her spinal development but the ultrasounds and dr said they look fine. I’m 36 weeks now & so far she seems strong and is still growing well.

I didn't take em. They were one of the things that made me nauseous. I did take a folate supplement though.
