Bottles & breastfeeding?

I plan on breastfeeding & I will be a stay at home mom. I already have tons of bottles also bought an electric pump. I know it depends on how much milk I produce but will I really need to pump if I always have boob on tap lol? How many bottles do you think I’ll really need on a daily basis if she’s just drinking out of the boob?? First time mom lol thanks in advance

That's a great plan! You won't need many bottles. After a few weeks you might enjoy leaving the baby with someone you trust for a few hours, so it would be handy to have some (maybe 2) bottles on hand. Trust me, at some point you need to be on your own for a few even though you'll miss babe the entire time. But it feels good to take even the smallest break! If you have an Amazon baby registry you get a box with one free bottle in it. Not all babies will like all bottles, so don't get too many of one kind. I liked dr. Brown bottles and my little guy took to them so I was lucky! But they are well known to mimic mom the best, so breastfed babies tend to do well with them. I hardly used bottles because i ebf her and was also a sahm. Plus she went everywhere i went. After she was like 4 months i completely stopped using bottles and breastfed until  she was 18 months.

No, don’t even waste your time with the pump unless you feel like you will have time away from baby!! It’s so much easier to ebf. Pumping is such a headache and extra work. I’d you were working or going to exclusively pump, then I’d say different. But in my experience as a sahm, it’s a headache lol
I do have a pump tho and had to use it when I had mastitis to prevent that breast from losing its supply

It all depends on your baby and how much milk you produce. Trust me, there is pretty much no way to prepare for how breastfeeding will be. It is extremely hard work which is information I never felt I heard beforehand. You may feel like you want to quit but it does get easier. I was a mega producer I had to pump every 3 hours just to keep from getting a clogged duct. I was over flowing 7oz bottles in less than five minutes even after my baby was done feeding. My baby had a hard time latching at first and it was extremely painful. I didn't think I needed bottles but I needed them for storage more than anything. 
My baby also weaned at 8 months old. She was done and refused to drink from me and liked the bottle a lot better when her dad would feed her while I worked. She is now 15 months old and I continue to pump so she can drink breast milk. If you plan to be at home you probably don't need many bottles. my baby has only used 3 this entire time, she is not picky though. My sisters baby on the other hand was, and she had to go through many different bottles to find which one he would drink out of. It also may be nice to have dad or whoever is helping you feed baby a couple times throughout the day just so you can have longer than 2 hours of sleep at a time. I wish I did that at first but i felt the pressure and need to breastfeed. Definitely won't make that mistake with the next baby. My sister had her baby just a couple weeks after me and had the opposite problem. She wasn't producing enough so she had to power pump just to have enough milk and even then it wasn't enough. Breastmilk storage bags are handy to have. I would definitely keep a stash of milk saved up if you can. The baby may not always be with you and it would be nice to have a break sometimes. Hope this doesn't discourage you. Breastmilk has such amazing benefits for you and your baby but it is definitely hard work and can take time to figure out. Good luck! Congratulations 😊
