Heavy bleeding update

So this Friday gone i was bleeding out at 1am in the morning very heavily it soaked up a towel & as i went into hospital the nurses, midwives, doctors were thinking it maybe placenta previa & now they're thinking it's a UTI infection & baby could possibly come early or before his expected due date..the bleeding has come down but im just waiting to hear what the news is & where all the blood came from..has anyone else experienced this? the nurses keep telling me its common
