Total abdominal hysterectomy
A week from today I have my surgery.
I was not a candidate for laparoscopic or vaginal unfortunately.
So I have to have it done this way.
I am 27 and have 3 beautiful babies here and one beautiful baby in heaven. I have constant rupturing ovarian cysts, endometriosis, and I am almost always bleeding and always in pain. I had my tubes tied and an endometrial ablation done last year but it didn’t do anything for me. (Also let me add that I have had a total of 10 surgeries since 2014 in between that, that were to help control cysts and bleeding and endometriosis)So now we are at the crossroads of a total hysterectomy.
I’m nervous for the amount of pain but I’m ready to get this over with.
Does anyone have any tips on recovery?
How soon after did menopause begin? I know things are different for everyone.
