Cervical Balloon??

Question

Does anyone know anything about the cervical balloon?? My Dr has mentioned it to induce labor. I have no clue anything about it. Also if you have one do they do it in office or at the hospital. I have read different things. Any advice or stories is appreciated

I'm pretty sure it's done in the hospital just like any other induction procedure. I've heard it's very uncomfortable as it is stretching your cervix open.

i had it, make sure someone experienced is placing it. I had a resident attempt to place mine multiple times and was in excruciating pain, than the OB tried once and was fine (this may be because I received pain medicine prior to her attempt, I can't say 100%)

My sister in law had one when she was in labor in the hospital and it was very painful for her...I personally have never had one though
