Bump on eyeball!?

Has anybody ever had a little bump or bumps ON THEIR EYEBALL?? I can’t get a good photo of course. It’s a little bit red, doesn’t really bother me. Except now that I know it’s there I’m bothered mentally. It’s pretty close to my cornea. It looks like a tiny zit. I just noticed this today. My eye doctor (optometrist) can’t see me till end of April and I’m freaking out. Google seems to think it’s harmless but I’m still anxious. Not sure if I should try to see my GP sooner or just wait it out.. anyone ever experience anything like this?
