Just a thought on pumping

So I have twins in the nicu and am eager to breast feed when they are able. They are too preemie currently. I am a part of a few breast feeding groups and looking at pictures had me wondering... Is pumping in public protected like breast feeding in public is? I can't seem to find anything online about it. Not that I've been in a situation where I needed to pump in public but I definitely would not want to pump in a bathroom if it came down to it.
