Birth control?

Okay ladies, what are all of you using for birth control while you are breastfeeding? I'm sure there have been a million posts about this, but this app doesn't have a search feature. I'm curious if anyone has used the "mini-pill" without a reduction in their milk production. I've read an IUD is safe for breastfeeding women as well, but I'd like to hear your experiences. I'm 4 weeks postpartum and exclusively breastfeeding my amazing little boy. I'm trying to be as informed as possible before my 6 week follow up. 😃

Condoms and using ovulation tests. Not try again but I know my cycle is going to be different and don't want any surprises. Hahaha. I don't like the idea of putting artificial hormones in my body.

I got the mini pill I didn't know it decreases milk supply 😱 have to started it because I'm having surgery Friday. Hopefully it doesn't affect me that way

I had an IUD inserted at my PP check. It wasn't any more bothersome than a pap. My OB waited until 8 weeks PP to let the uterine lining thicken. I've had some spotting since then but no other problems. I have not noticed a reduction in breast milk related to that and it's been 3 weeks.

I'm taking mini pill and haven't noticed any change in supply. I'm on my second pack. Baby is 3.5 months.

We are planning on using condoms for the first few months. Then we aren't sure

In planning on getting the implant in my ark, I think it's called nexplanon. It's safe to use while breastfeeding and more effective than the mini pill. I thought about IUD but the procedure didn't sound like something I want to do.
