The pill

So i have been taking birth controle for about a month now, and i just had my period this Saturday but yesterday i thought i was finished my cycle because usually it doesn't last very long so i took one pill but when i woke up this morning there was still blood. Should i be worried i messed something up or could this cause anything? Should i use a condom the next time i have sexual intercourse thanks!
