7 month old: Easter basket?

I don’t want to sound like a terrible mom but I’m honestly on the fence about making an easter basket for my son this year, he’ll be 7 months old. I have a few little ideas but I don’t know if it will be worth it, I mean will he have any idea what’s going on? Will he be able to kind of unwrap it and pull stuff out or will I be putting it together to then take it back apart myself. He’s at a stage where he doesn’t have much interest in things and not much keeps his attention. It’s not that I don’t want to, but it’s been a tough year with covid, we don’t have a ton of money as it is. Does anyone have any cheap ideas of what I could get him or what I could do?

You do not need to put together an Easter basket for a seven-month-old baby. The end. Let’s be real, putting together the basket is for you, not the baby, LOL. 
If money is tight, don’t waste that money on some thing that will not be appreciated by the child. Your child has many more years to appreciate all kinds of holiday gifts.￼

He won’t have any idea. For both my kids I skipped any big holiday gifts to save the money their first year unless there was stuff they actually needed. It’s more for your memory so if you don’t want to do anything then don’t! ☺️

My son is 10.5 months and it hadn’t even crossed my mind to give him anything for Easter! lol he has no idea what’s going on, so I don’t feel bad about it at all.

Honestly, we’re probably shitty parents because of this, but we didn’t do anything for like the first year for our daughter. She doesn’t know what’s going on and can’t really use that stuff and we were also on a budget. So it wasn’t until after a year we started doing holiday gifts etc. Now she’s 2 and she understands much more and loves opening stuff and using it. So this year she’s getting an Easter basket. So don’t feel horrible if you don’t get her one, they’re so young rn

My baby is 3 months old and I got her a basket I just got her a few baby toys to put in it.

I just always bought a lil toy and baby snacks like the melts or cookies for their stage and didn’t really wrap it up just put it in a small basket for them to toss around and stuff

I haven’t bought anything for Easter but gave my son a Valentine’s bag. And I just got stuff from the dollar tree. They had some pretty good stuff. You can just get him dollar tree stuff he likes. He’s really young so not really sure what.
