1 month old nighttime sleep
My one month old has been pretty good about getting a solid three hours stretch of sleep for a few weeks now, usually from 10 PM to 1 AM, sometimes 1:30 AM. But for the past few nights he has been getting up exactly an hour later for another feeding, so at like 2:30AM. I try to let him stir in the bassinet for a bit but it gets to the point he breaks out of the swaddle or is just constantly fighting it (he never cries in the bassinet so that’s a plus). I assume he is hungry so I eventually just give in and grab him but I’m wondering why all of a sudden he’s hungry one hour later? I even try to give him longer on the breast when he wakes up after the long stretch of sleep but he always just falls asleep at the breast so I can only get so much feeding in. (I really don’t want to change him and disturb him at that hour because then he will start wailing and getting him back down will be even tougher). Any advice on what to do to help us out? He’s 5 weeks old.
