We got the OK to try!!!

I don’t have many people I feel comfortable sharing this with yet, so I want to share here!

I was diagnosed with Gastroparesis (gp) in sept 2018 meaning my stomach is paralyzed and I will literally throw up 24/7 without some form of medical intervention. In January 2019 I found out I was pregnant but my gp made me so sick I couldn’t get out of bed except to go to the er over and over. Nothing was working and I lost baby at 10w. In January 2020 after never getting any less sick and being very close to needing TPN to stay alive, I got a gastric stimulator implanted in my abdomen. It’s electroshock therapy for chronic nausea and vomiting. After more than a year I am finally only throwing up when I change my birth control patch due to hormones and my doctor gave us the ok to finally try again as I can keep the gastric stimulator in me and turned on to control my nausea throughout pregnancy, so if I mc again it won’t be from my gp. We are beyond excited!!! I really thought he would say no, like the baby would move the stimulator or something, I’m so happy!
