Missed BC pills=how long until effective again??

So for the past 2 weeks I have been either missing my BC pills or taking them hours late. For months I took them at the exact same time every day, but 2 weeks ago someone very close to me died and I’ve been so frazzled I haven’t been thinking straight. I’m on my period now but will begin taking them like clockwork again after. How long do my bf and I have to use condoms until we’re back to the 97/99% efficacy of bc pills?

*we do not use condoms, so please no shaming, I know BC is not as effective as both, but we prefer not to use condoms*
