How and when do you think our world was started?

Accepted Answer

All of the energy and matter of the universe was comprised in a singularity (black hole) roughly the size of an electron. Energy cannot be created nor destroyed so something cannot come from nothing. People inaccurately assume the Big Bang theory is describing a universe that just sprung into existence one day. Not what happened. 
What we understand about singularities (aka black holes) is that they emit Hawking radiation and degrade over time, over billions and billions of years. Current hypotheses state that’s most likely how our universe came to be. A black hole existed in another universe and degraded. Since the time it takes a black hole to degrade is older than our universe, we aren’t sure what happens, but we can guesstimate that it is a colossal release of energy that both destroys and creates. AKA the Big Bang. It’s theorized by the time a black hole evaporates again in our universe that it will swallow everything again. But... don’t fret. A black hole of one solar mass takes more than 10^67 years to evaporate—much longer than the current age of the universe at 14×10^9 years.

Anyway, I voted Big Bang by God. I’m not sure that’s exactly right though. I do believe in God, and them being ultimately responsible for creation, but I don’t believe in what people call intelligent design. I understand and accept what science teaches us about the randomness of the universe, creation, and evolution. I just also believe there’s something more, an older consciousness if that makes any sort of sense. 
I don’t believe in a literal interpretation of Genesis. I don’t care if others do, as long as they refrain from falsifying evidence, and bastardizing scientific fact to support their claims. Looking at you here Kirk Cameron. 🍌🍌🍌

I chose the second option. I believe in god and also know that there’s science involved too. There’s evolution which I am confused as to why some Christians are against it ? Anyway I believe god and science go hand in hand.

I’m also of the belief that our brain and/or current knowledge is possibly far too limited to comprehend “the beginning of everything” or that there was never a “beginning” and everything just is. There are far too many theories for me to settle on one, and we haven’t traversed far enough into what else is out there and topics like quantum theories. We have a very limited experience with a very limited time frame.

I took evolutionary biology during my university studies. Instead of winning me toward the idea of macro evolution, I actually feel that it makes much less sense than before due to the amazing amount of symbiotic relationships and complexities of our world. Imagine 2 entirely different living things dependent 100% on each other for survival. And to find out there are countless relationships like this in our world lends me to the belief that they all needed to be created at once, or within a short time frame. Therefore, I tend to subscribe to the Christian young earth theory. Macro evolution has never been anything more than just a theory built on theories built on theories using fancy terminology. During the course, I learned that even carbon dating was inconsistent and there were dating techniques that were contradictory concerning the supposed age of the earth. I also believe that humans are unique from all other created things in that we are observers of our world and universe with an innate desire for justice and morality. This also lends me to believe in a creator/designer/God, and not in random Big Bang, because I believe we are created to have the ability to know and learn and be in relationship with our creator.

I dont even know what I think happened lol I'd love to know for sure but I dont care too much to speculate on how it all started because as old as the earth is, theres no telling how it started. I think evolution definitely played the biggest part in how humans have turned out these days but as for how it all began?, beyond me..
