Negative test - but maybe too early?

My period is due tomorrow and I tested today at 12DPO and got a negative. I’m not having any of my usual PMS symptoms but am having some nausea and lightheadedness that I never get with PMS. My nipples are also itchy and sore which never happens for me either.

Should I wait to see if my period arrives over the next few days then test again? I don’t know if I should completely give up hope yet :(
