Relationship vs family

I’ve been dating a guy who’s 52 and I’m 26 and my mom/family doesn’t like it and are super against it. Like to the point where they’ve shut me out and won’t speak to me. However, in this relationship, it’s the happiest I’ve ever been, I’m being taken care of and loved, he’s everything I’ve ever prayed for, he just happens to be older. Has this happened to anyone before? What is there that I can do or should do? I feel like I’ve done nothing wrong.
