How often do you bathe your baby?

My LO will be 3 months tmmrw and I want to start adding a bathe time in his night time routine but I don't want to dry out his skin.

Ive washed my baby every night since he was born hes never had any skin issues.

Per our doctor we do it 1-2x per week unless they’re very dirty. Baths dry out their sensitive skin and trigger eczema patches

I’ve bathed my baby every single day since we brought her home from the hospital. She is 28 months now. She’s never had any skin issues. We use gentle/ fragrance free soap and lotions. I think it’s personally so disgusting and uncomfortable for them to not be bathed everyday. Especially if their breastfeeding, formula feeding and in a diaper everyday. They want to be clean just like we do and that’s practicing good hygiene as well. My daughter always got sweaty neck and breast milk in her neck when she was so young and it was gross to give her a “wipe down bath” to me. She has urine and poop in her diaper so I didn’t want to expose her to an infection either. Also with this pandemic going on and germs I’d make sure she’s clean and disinfected. Now my daughter is older and she LOVES taking baths/showers. She wants to take one every night before bed and if her dad or I take one earlier in the day she’ll get in with one of us. She loves to be clean. I would highly recommend bathing your child everyday if possible. Just find the right soap as well as shampoo and always make sure their moisturized and you’ll be good!

When my daughter was that age we did baths 3-4 times a week and when she hit 4 months old it became a daily routine. Shes never had any skin problems

My son is getting a bath every night since he came home from the hospital. He is almost 3 years old now and never had dry skin or any other skin issues.

You can just do warm water without soap some nights so the bath is still relaxing but it won’t dry the skin out so bad.

A dermatologist recommended bathing and instead of using soap which can dry you out just use a moisturiser like aveno to wash with. So you could alternate and see how that goes! 
My friend uses coconut oil instead of soap for her kids skin.

We do bath every night in Luke warm water and soap every 3 days. It’s mainly for the routine and his dr said that I would actually help his eczema as long as the water wasn’t too hot and we got moisturizer on him
