Do people usually suspect they might have gestational diabetes before the test or is it typically a surprise?

I’m doing my glucose test tomorrow and I’m nervous to even eat any sugar haha. I don’t have any symptoms or anything, but I don’t know if there are symptoms?

What you eat or don’t eat won’t change anything. It’s just the way your body works unfortunately. But I had it my first pregnancy and I’m doing my 3 hr glucose for my second baby right now. I don’t have any symptoms or clues that I could have it though. I hope you don’t have it!

My sister did with her 2nd and 3 pregnancies but she had it with her first. 
I had it with my first but had no idea until I failed the test. I’m guessing it will be similar this time too

I was totally surprised especially as it turned out my fasting numbers were off not the post prandial.
