Attn: covid-19 survivors
I'm about 2 month post infection. I had a mild case, but I had complete loss of taste and smell for about four weeks. I slowly regained these senses. About two weeks ago, unfortunately things got worse. Everything I eat or cook now smells and tastes rotten. There are only a few exceptions. I'm reaching out bc this is the only form of social media I have. I'm hoping to hear similar stories. I didn't know I could get it back and everything be fine and then it be this bad again. Hoping to hear this isn't permanent. I feel incredibly blessed to have had a mild case, but I can't help but feel crazy. It will be interesting to see the long term effects this will have on me neurologically.
My toddler suddenly has an aversion to meat as well. And I'm not sure if she's just noticing me not eating meat anymore or if she unfortunately is having the same experience. We never had her tested for the virus because our county wouldn't swab a child that small.
I'm also pregnant again and hoping this poor child wasn't somehow harmed during the process of me getting this virus.
Sorry for the long post.
