If an ex who did drugs went to rehab and has been clean for awhile, wanted you back.. Would you give them another chance?

Probably not. I would be happy for them, but addiction is a lifelong struggle, and I just wouldn't want to always have to worry about them backsliding...and either taking me down again with them, or needing to be their "babysitter" constantly to try keeping them on track. It's too much responsibility to put on one person's shoulders if that addict falls off the wagon.

It really depends. If I had feelings for the person, and I knew for a fact that they had been clean and are sticking to it, then yes. I would want someone to give me the same opportunity.
I'm a recovering drug addict from pain pills, and my husband is a recovering alcoholic. He would get drunk and I would get high. 
I got pregnant, and got clean. He continued to drink. We were together on and off until I finally kicked him out for good. I found out I was pregnant again September 11th 2015, and he had been sober for over a month, and had proved to me he wasn't gonna drink. Things have been amazing between us. My pregnancy sadly ended in a miscarriage on November 17th, and I had a D&C November 18th. 
It has brought us closer together, and neither one of us turned back to drugs or alcohol. 
We are currently trying for our rainbow baby.
Addiction and Alcoholism is a disease of the brain. Yes, most people decide to pick up for the first time, but, after that they honestly can't control themselves. Withdrawal is so painful physically and mentally that it will make you do anything to make it stop. It's a horrible cycle that continues until the addict/alcoholic has finally had enough and hit rock bottom, and they decide to get help. 
When an addict/alcoholic gets clean/sober, they need all the love and support they can get. 
I honestly believe if you have feelings for this person still, and you can clearly see they've done everything they can to get clean and stay clean, you should give them a chance. If things don't work out, they don't work out, but, at least you gave it a chance.

If drugs were the only issue and they had been clean for several months at least and really seemed to be taking their sobriety seriously I would probably give them another chance if the feelings were still there.

Addiction is a lifelong problem. I would be happy for the person but I would not want to be with someone who I would worry would fall back into it. Many addicts relapse several times before they get clean if they ever get clean. Too much stress for me.

He went to rehab and he should be told constantly how great that is but its also a life long battle. He will have stuggled he will have urges. If you feel hes changed and want to go back thats great but you will have times you are gonna have to talk him out of getting high or why to stay sober. There will be days hes like screw it i can handle one time and so on. Dont let him back slide. You also need to figure out what his triggers are so yall can avoid those as well.

He is clean and needs to concentrate on just that being clean. I have known n am relative to plenty of addicts and it's a rocky road and I personally would never date one. Life full of relapse and rehabs relapse and rehab. Just too much for me to deal with. And exes r exes regardless. Move on find stability. Just my opinion I'm sure there r addicts who don't relapse but my experience is that they do n counsellors tell them that's a part of recovery. I wish him well n happiness. Your choice.

First off I'm against drugs 100000000% secondly lucky me the only partner i have had has never touched them either and we are 22 just gone on 6 yrs together.
