If you cheated on your partner then you worked things out to only find out that he had cheated on you as revenge? 
I know a lot of people would say that they wouldn’t cheat on their partner but I’d just like to know what everyone’s views on it would be if it actually happened... would you work things out? Would leave even though they gave you second chance?

Well of course you cheating on him is wrong, and warrants him to leave you. But him cheating on you out of spite , simply shows you enough. If he wanted to work things out he wouldn’t have done that. You obviously aren’t in it 100% and neither is he. I’d say it’s time to part ways .

I guess it really depends on if you two truly want the relationship to work. 
I would suggest if you have two separate rooms on the house, maybe one of you staying in the other room. A ton of therapy both together and separate before deciding if you two can actually move on from it, because some people say they can and they really can't. 
Most people will tell you to just give up, and if neither of you are happy then maybe that's a good idea. But relationships have seen far worse and ended up working.

Nope. 
#1) i wouldn't cheat in the first place due to my morals, self respect, integrity, and values. 
#2) I'd NEVER stay with a cheater because I KNOW my worth and someone who cheats isn't worth my time!
A partner who cheats has zero self-respect, no integrity,  and does NOT love or respect their partner. There is no way on earth someone like that deserves a second chance. Bye bitch!
