He’s here!
My little man is finally here! Wow what an experience that was and can honestly say I will never attempt to deliver vaginally ever again! Baby boy (Lincoln) was to be induced Sunday 3/29 (due 3/31) due to low platelets in myself. Showed up at Northside Hospital around 11pm that evening and went on a difficult journey that is labor for the next 36 hours. Labor wouldn’t progress on my own without Pitocin and due to me having scoliosis, baby wouldn’t get in the right position and was turned sideways and way too high (best I got in that 36 ours was 8cm and -1). Was an extremely hard process even the epidural was a huge struggle to place in because of my scoliosis. Ended up deciding to do a c-section after no real progression and let me tell you I wish we went this route from the get go!!! So easy and my ob-gyn doctor was a cosmetic surgeon before she got certified to be an OB! Incision is super small like 5 inches.
My son was born March 30, 2021 at 1:05 pm. Weighing 8.6 lbs and 21 inches long. Labor was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my life but I’d do it a million times over if that’s what it’d take to lead me to him. I am so blessed ❤️
