Herpes and dating..

So I’ve been dating my boyfriend for 5 months & found out at the beginning of our relationship that I have genital herpes (got it from him). I have a 2 year old with someone else. I’ve recently been thinking about the possibility of getting back together with my daughters father but I’m TERRIFIED of telling him I have herpes.

When is the right time to tell someone this ?? I feel like he’s going to judge me and think I’m gross. Any advice ?
