2 week old warm to touch
So I called the children’s hospital nurse line and was told a fever of 100.4 or greater is an instant Er visit for newborns. My little girl has been congested since birth, and she just woke up from a nap warm, rectal temp of 99.9. That’s a bit close for comfort. I’ve had to keep her in a T-shirt onesie and no blanket to see if her temp goes down. I’m supposed to call her pediatricians office tomorrow and see if they want to see her but damn....I feel for this little girl. She’s so little and helpless and I just wish I could take all her pain and sickness away.
Anybody else gone through a close fever with their new babies? This is not something you expect to happen when they’re so tiny and young. Sucks even worse with a pandemic going on. 😔🤦🏼♀️
