I’m not scared of mice at all, I have had them in my house continuously growing up.  I use live traps with a bit of avocado to get them in and then drop them off to a wildlife preserve behind my house. The sounds are the most annoying cuz it keeps me up when they run in my walls. Seeing them is bad cuz my cats try to kill them lol

I have a cat, sometimes I can hear them in the wall, but if they come out she gets them

I’d just set some traps.....the worst part would be seeing it dead, or him being sneaky enough to get the food off the traps a few times before you actually catch him. Or, which happened to me once, the trap not killing him all the way, and he was suffering, so I essentially had to finish the job, bc I can’t let him suffer. I prayed and cried through it. I still hate thinking about that. They are cute little guys.

I have an extreme mice/rats fear, if I hear one I would jump on a table or whatever's closest (bed, chair etc) and scream, if I do see one I might actually pass out. Both have happened, luckily never at my own home. I am not kidding when I say I pass out 🤦🏻‍♀️ 
Even seeing them in pictures/movies creeps me out. 
So to answer your question, I would probably move to a new home.
