How do you feel about changing your infants name from the father’s last name at 6months? I was trying to be nice in the beginning by doing it thinking he’s going to change and he’ll be in her life but since I had her he hasn’t done nothing but seen her 3 times and all 3 times was all bad encounters but the 3rd time was the worse one Nd she’s about to be 7 months. He doesn’t try at all I’m not keeping her away from him that’s his choice to not reach out to try Nd get to know her Nd build a bond so I feel she shouldn’t have his name because he’s not worthy of someone as precious as my daughter to carry his name. So all I want to do is take his name out I’m not asking for child support money or anything Nd he still can see her.

Am I in the wrong or am I being petty ?
