Cant decide if I should go to L&D to get checked?

Question

I havent felt her move as much as before, i couldn’t find her heartbeat this morning on my doppler when I always do... 
just have a general feeling that maybe something is off... the nurse said I can come in to get checked quickly but I hte being the girl who cried wolf!! Im 25 weeks

Never fear crying wolf! I feared that in my last pregnancy and almost went into full labor at 28 weeks! Luckily they stopped everything but I definitely should’ve gone in sooner. My nurse said “we would much rather tell you everything is fine, versus dealing with heavier problems and health complications with you or baby. Call any time.”

I am a labor and delivery scrub tech and we always tell moms that if they feel like something is off to come in and be checked. It always better to be safe!

I would just call your on call OB nurse or call L&D first.

Movement is not expected to be consistent until 28 weeks, hence why they start kick counts then, but you know your baby best and if it seems abnormal it’s best to go get checked. Would try drinking ice water or juice and lay down for an hour with hands on your stomach  to feel for movement first, that’s usually what the nurse line will advise as well.

Always call and ask. No harm with that. 
I wasn’t able to be consistent in movements until 28 weeks due to having an anterior placenta. Baby could’ve moved sides or even further back. I would drink some orange juice or something to get baby moving and see if you can get baby to move positions. That way you’d have a better chance at detecting the heartbeat.
