Teething??

My lo is 19 weeks, On the 24TH my she spiked a fever, 103.2, and started seizing after a trip to the er they blamed teething. Well she had her 4mo checkup on Friday, 2 weeks late because of the fevers, and our pediatrician confirmed she is teething but it is all 4 of her canines! Any one ever have this happen to their little one?? My Son started teething at 6 mo and it was his front bottom two

My 21 month old got her canines just a month or two ago! She got her bottom two first. I don’t remember my oldest but I think bottom two at first as well.

One of my babies would have high fevers like that and I would worry so much. My doctor said that he would be fine and that it was a chemical reaction when the teeth cut through the gums and that the outside skin was hot the temperature didn’t come from inside and it wasn’t cooking his brain, that it was a normal temp. We found that a cold washcloth on the gums really helped.

That doesn’t sound like teething... typically teething fevers don’t go any higher than 101... i would recheck the temperature with a different thermometer and also check for other symptoms.

My babe is also 4 months and had a fever of 103 on Monday. We went to the ER and they said she was also okay and didn’t do a covid test. The fever went away the next morning and only lasted 24ish hours. I went to the pediatrician today and she said teething wouldn’t cause a fever that high. I asked if she can check if she’s teething and at first she said she wasnt and checked again and said maybe. I was never given a reason as to what caused the fever but my daughter is drooling a lot and loves biting her teething toys.

I’d be having her checked over for other things, that high of a fever means the body is fighting something hard, that’s not teething
