Loosing weight help

I’m 18. For over a couple months now I’ve been (trying) to do calorie deficient. I’m 5’9 and roughly 170. I’m not over weight I’m just not happy with my body especially my stomach and wanna loose some. I’ve been trying to eat around 1500. Idk if I’m doing it right? I’ve definitely cut down on my food intake. I still eat things I like and eat out sometimes but I try not to go over. Any advice on loosing weight and calorie deficient would be great. Thanks:)
