Officially over due ! When did you have your second babies?

I’m officially one day over due as of today! When did you guys have your second babies? My first I went into labor on my due date and had him the next day. I went into labor really late at night. I haven’t lost my plug or anything. A week ago I was 1 cm and 50% effaced. I have a induction at 42 weeks but I don’t feel comfortable going that long!

I had my first exactly at 41 weeks. Im a day over due as well with my second and my scheduled induction is for exactly 41 weeks because at that point its considered medically nessecary. I think anything after 41 weeks is too risky they shouldn't be making you wait till 42. I hope they can either change that for you or you go on your own. I would defiantly push for a closer date.

I went into labour naturally with my first at 40+7 and had her following day.
With my second I was induced at 13 days overdue.. Was agonizing but got to spend a little more time with my other child before hand I remember it made it ok 💕
Curious to see when #4 will come as #3 was induced at 40 weeks.

Induction at 42 weeks is the norm in the UK in a healthy pregnancy.   Many countries believe that pregnancy should actually be dated at 41 weeks not 40.  France for example date at 41 weeks.
The 40 weeks is absolutely not an ‘average’, in fact in the UK 65% of babies will not arrive before their ‘40 week due date’, and it’s worth remembering this is a guide not a deadline, anything between 37 and 42 is considered completely normal.
If your baby and you are both well, then the best place for the baby to be is where the baby decides.  I know this stage of pregnancy is really hard, but either way it’ll be over before you know it and you’ll have your baby in your arms.
