AF 2 days late..... & light brown discharge

Hey guys, so I’ve been waiting for AF for 2 days, but so far all I’ve gotten is Light and i mean light brown discharge. My husband and I have been trying for three years but back in November i gave up, it was to much heartbreak. & this time i ovulated on March 26 and i spotted the 24th indicating i was going to Ovulate. So on April 3rd (8 DPO) i had more spotting, so I took a pregnancy test April 7th and got a BFN... i have been expecting my period since yesterday morning because i am very accurate and my cycles run at 22 days, ALWAYS! So if any one has any ideas as to why I’m getting brown discharge I am wanting to hear them! TIA
