Pinched nerve?

Can anyone tell me what a pinched nerve feels like? I woke up yesterday morning with a pain radiating through the left side of my neck to my shoulder. I assumed I slept wrong so I stretched, put heat, cold, etc. I woke up with the same pain. It hurts to move that side of my body so I have been laying down but even turning my body hurts. If it still feels this way tomorrow I am going to call in sick and hopefully find someone who can see me. I am 13 weeks 2 days right now, hopefully I don't need x rays done.
