Bit of stabbing pain in the lower left side of my back. Told my doc about it, but she just punched my back, asked if it hurt (no), and she said it was fine?
HCG in mid 500s. Haven’t been asked to go for a redraw. Waiting for scan in 2 weeks time.

Line progress doesn't mean anything the stab pain you feel is ligament pain your body is going threw many changes you can have little to no pain and still have an ectopic pregnancy.

I had pain on one side and my dr said that women typically don't feel pain from ectopic until around 7 or 8 weeks at the earliest. If you just got your positive, your discomfort is likely not ectopic. Could be ligament stretching pain or constipation.

Why did she punch your back... with my ectopic I had progression but it wasn’t as fast as it was with my current pregnancy. My hcg only ever got up to around 800 and I was supposed to be 6-7 weeks. Luckily they caught it early and I had methotrexate injection. But I didn’t have much pain at all I just had off and on bleeding like a period. If there is concern for ectopic they should be taking your blood 48 hrs apart to see if it is doubling correctly. Good luck!

Ok so, there is a chance that it’s constipation. I know, random and your worry doesn’t support that theory. BUT here me out. I called my doctor for the exact same reason. She told me to try taking some colace or milk of magnesia first to see if that helps. Pregnancy constipation pain can be really strong and intimidating. I honestly thought I was having an ectopic pregnancy and my doctor said that it can be similar pain but unlikely to be an ectopic. Maybe try colace or milk of magnesia first. It might really help and make all the difference in the world. The progesterone in our bodies slows down the digestive process which makes constipation so common in pregnancy. But hopefully this helps. Good luck!

You don’t need to be in pain or bleeding for an ectopic, I had one, didn’t know for 2 weeks and my tube was about to rupture. 
My hcg levels were still rising. Not saying this to scare you or worry you, but just responding to a comment on here.
