I don't think my son is ready to walk to school😐

My son has been begging me to walk to school. He's 11 and his friends walk so he wants to. It's not that far so I thought about it but I wanted to make sure he understands safety so I asked him what to do if a stranger offers you candy. He said "What kind of candy".... I'm like DOES IT MATTER?! He says yes because he's allergic to nuts... Well at least he understands how to handle his allergies 🤦‍♀️
