Urge to pee, but only small drips?

I’m 38 weeks and recently I’ve noticed I feel like I have to pee really badly, but when I actually try to go only a small dribble comes out. It’s so annoying! I’ve been checked for a UTI, but I’m all clear. Sometimes I’m sitting down and my urge is super strong, then it goes away just as quickly as it came. Do you think baby is responsible for this? What gives?

The baby has probably dropped and is pressing on your bladder. I remember towards the end of pregnancy I had to lean forward and literally lift my belly up in order to get my bladder to empty! Oh the joys of pregnancy!!

I remember this with my first. It helped to lean forward, hands on the ground. I kind of lifted my belly up a bit first. Something about the position of baby wouldn’t let my completely empty my bladder any other way. It looked and felt ridiculous, but it worked.
