Uti and yeast infection ?

Is it possible to get both? I went to the dr and am taking antibiotics for the uti but I think I’m starting to get a yeast infection. They also told me to come back after I finish treatments bc my ketone levels were super high. Should I go back now or is this normal?

Yes. It is possible. 
To prevent it after you finish your medications:
- stay hydrated with 8 cups of water or more daily. 
- use unscented soap down there. Like dove unscented, the l brand daily care feminine wash and etc.
- wear 100% cotton underwear
- take probiotics daily (like rephresh)
- drink 100% unsweeted cranberry juice or take cranberry tablets daily
- change your underwear when wet
- pee before and after sex and have your partner do the same. 
- maybe change your laundry detergent or whatever maybe causing your yeast infections.
- limit sugar intake
- don't wear jeans and etc too tight

Answer

Yes. They’re two different  types of infections. A UTI is bacterial and needs antibiotics. A yeast infection is fungal and needs anti-fungals.
