CLEANING HACK!!

So if this is the wrong group-sorry but just wanted to share a cleaning trick that actually works!!! So I bought a cheap-o table set from Walmart about 8years ago for my first apartment and it’s held up great!!! But the chair cushions are that fake suede/microsuede not really sure since it’s been so long 🤔 I’ve spot cleaned them over the years, which left water spots on the area, did a vinegar wash over the whole seat and scrubbed but it still had the dark grease stain where my husband dropped some freshly fried chicken 🙄 and I even bought a few different types of suede cleaning pens/sticks but they were too pricey to do the entire seat of 4 chairs with and left it crunchy feeling....so Pinterest to the rescue... sprayed the entire seat with WINDEX a quick scrub with a soft bristled brush and VIOLA!! Cant believe I never knew this!?!? So I thought I’d share. I tested it out on our worst chair, you know that one that is in the space no one sits in, that usually has a jacket or bag over the cushion becuase it looks better than the actual seat itself 😅you can see the water spots from the ‘spot cleaning fails’ the dark GREASE stain that dripped onto the seat 🍗and the ‘stiff’ crunchy patch from the pricey suede cleaner that still left it looking half cleaned.

It was about 90% dry when I began to rub my hand over it to check if it was truly ‘suede soft’ like everyone claimed the windex left it after drying which is why it looked like I rubbed it oddly but when I felt how buttery soft this old cushion was I was amazed and just left it to finish drying! There is one tiny spot on the top right side but that’s more from my slacker scrub job...totally had no faith that this would work and entire chair took a total of like 2mins to spray AND scrub 🥴 I really was planning on giving up and re-upholstering it this weekend but the tester chair showed me it works miracles and I’ll be doing the rest of the set today!
