gynecologist asked me if I masturbate

So I (21yrs old) saw a gyne today (who is a man) related to chronic pelvic pain and he was actually a really good doctor but I was so humiliated because I’m not sexually active (for no reason other than the fact that it just hasn’t happened yet) and he was asking me the typical questions about whether I could be pregnant or how I protect myself from pregnancy or how sexually active I am etc and eventually I had to just say outright that I have never been sexually active which I’m embarrassed about enough already. And then he asked me if I masturbate (because he wanted to know if my parts worked the way they should) which I know is 1000% normal and not something to be ashamed about but omg I was so embarrassed to say yes and then once I answered the conversation just moved on and it was all super professional but I was still so embarrassed.

But other than that embarrassing moment, he was actually such a good doctor and the whole clinic was amazing and I finally felt like my pain was being acknowledged as real and valid which was such a relief after like 7 years of being ignored
