Gestational diabetes protocol?

Hey ladies. I’m 35w4days and just found out I’ve developed GD (I passed my routine test that was weeks ago) Since it’s a few hours before the clinic closes for the week and I live 40 minutes away the doctor is sending in the stuff to my pharmacy so I have it before the weekend but we aren’t discussing what to do from here on out or a plan until my appointment Tuesday morning. For those of you who’ve had it, can you give me a quick rundown of what to do/eat/protocol so I can start taking care of it now?

I eat low carb. I try to keep my meals between 45-50 carbs. I still have delicious meals following this diet. Walking for like 20 minutes after you eat can keep your numbers down. Are your fasting numbers high or is it happening after your meals that your number is high? Also are you gonna be taking insulin? If you wanna pm me, we can discuss more 😁

Hey babe I understand. This is what my nutritionist gave me as an outline. I don’t have a pic of my other meal plan but the right side are good carbs left side is bad carbs. So how “I” am supposed to do it is 30 grams carbs for breakfast and 60 for lunch and dinner. I eat every 2 hours and in between snacks. Each snack is 15 carbs each. So I usually eat Nature Valley Protein Bars , it has to be protein though, 2 string cheese, and an avocado. It’s pretty much a high protein low carb diet. When reading labels your looking at the Carbohydrates, not the sugars because it’s already included in the carbs and pay attention to serving sizes as well. My daily routine looks like:
Breakfast- 2 eggs, bacon, half an avocado a slice of whole wheat toast with butter and 24 oz of water
Snack - protein bar, 2 string cheese, nuts, avocado 
Lunch -(varies) Sandwich- 2 slices of whole wheat toast, 3 turkey breast, 4 pieces of salami, 4 pieces of bacon, 2 slices of pepper jack cheese, wax peppers, lettuce, avocado, Mayo and mustard. Water mixed with fresh fruit and ice. I’ll either eat 3 strawberries or grapes or 1 Oreo as well. 
Snack- 2 slices of pepper jack cheese, 4-6 triscuts , water and nuts
Dinner-(varies) Steak or chicken or fish, green beans/ broccoli / 1 ear of corn / bell peppers. I just started making them in wraps with a tortilla and I can eat 2 tortillas as long as I have a lot of veggies and protein .
Snack before bed - same as others
