I had a homebirth!

I got adjusted by my chiropractor at 10am.

Started to feel really uncomfortable, strong & regular Braxton Hicks around 8. Thought it was just hip pain so I wrote it off. But they stayed regular at 6-7 minutes apart, so I got in the shower at 9:30. Being up had them 4-5 minutes apart. I laid in bed at 10 and timed for an hour. They started to get really painful at 11pm, so I called my doula who called my midwife & birth team. They showed up at 12:15 while we got the birth tub set up. Checked me, I was already at an 8. I got into the tub and immediately had contractions 2 minutes apart. Couldn’t handle the heat so went to my bed. Started pushing at 1:07, really struggled with the pain & pressure. I was SCREAMING because I was fighting against my own body. She was here at 1:23am 4/24/2021. I experienced a small hemorrhage that was quickly handled by pitocin injections & hemaplex. She’s 8lbs 10 oz, 18inches. I did it 💪🏻

I have since passed out from lack of food & water this morning when I went potty. But am working to get that under control before my toddler meets his baby sister. I can’t believe he slept through it. It was LOUD.

But it was incredible. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
