Does this car seat need an insert?

FTM. I think it already has one but idk if that’s just a basic insert.
I want her head nice and secured.

Never put anything that didn’t come with the car seat in there! Extra padding and inserts can cause the head to tilt to an unsafe spot!

If it didn’t come with it then do not add it. Aftermarket car seat additives are not safe at all. If you are worried about support for babies head you can use a rolled up receiving blanket.

Your best bet would be to take the model number and google the manual for it to know how to safely use it

Like said, never add anything to the car seat that didn’t come with it. If it’s a used seat then you need to contact the manufacturer to see if they have one. If you feel babies head is not supported enough, roll up receiving blankets and put them up the side of the baby. If you read your manual it should tell you everything you need to know.

Yes I'd put an insert so that baby's head is nice and stable. If you get an insert it prevents you from having to use receiving blankets. I'm on baby 5 and have used inserts every time because my babies are always small. Look on Amazon.

Is it an infant car seat? If so then it would have come with an insert I believe. If not then it may not be an infant car seat, therefore too big, or maybe you’ll need to contact the manufacturer to get one that’s supposed to fit that model.
