3.5 year old lots of illness going on?
Ok so my daughter first complained of a bellyache & had diarrhea exactly a month ago for the first time which we had no idea why. That cleared up and then she developed what the doctor is saying vaginitis.
That cleared up and then she immediately got sick the week after and started seeming like she was getting better after 3 days then all go a sudden developed a bad cough & also a low grade fever on the 5th day.
I took her to the doctor the next day, and they said they just think it’s viral, and that we just have to wait it out.
Her cough was seeming like it was getting better this week, and then it all of a sudden started causing her a runny/stuffy nose & would make her voice go out again a little bit here & there. Sometimes her cough will be normal & sometimes she’ll have her little bad cough, but overall much better than it was when she was first sick.
She also developed another bout of vaginitis this week, which we took her to the doctor for on Friday and they tested her for a UTI & everything, but we haven’t gotten any results back so I’m assuming that’s negative.
Yesterday right when she woke up she complained of a bellyache. She then threw up her banana/strawberry smoothie breakfast, and complained of a bellyache throughout the day on & off. During the evening she pooped twice and it was a bit loose/soft.
She felt fine the rest of the night til bedtime where she was super gassy, but fell asleep, and then started coughing in her sleep & then around 12am woke up continuously coughing and spit up a little twice. She fell back asleep then woke up again at 2am complaining/crying of a bellyache, and then started coughing where she then threw up kind of A LOT, but immediately felt better & was back to her normal self. She’s had no fever or anything this whole time, and also so far this morning she’s been completely fine although her nose is stuffy & she’s coughing a little here & there.
Should I even contact her primary about the vomiting last night if she seems better today?? So far we’ve taken her like 4 times, and everytime they say there’s really nothing they can do except just wait it out. I’m just wondering why she’s having one thing after another happening, and also if it’s normal for a cold like that to last so long? Especially to cause a stuffy nose
* the vaginitis I’m thinking is cause of too tight clothing & not wiping correctly? When we asked the doctor he said it could be a number of reasons & is very common at this age, but that there’s nothing we can do besides take the measures in order to prevent it by switching to showers only, no tight clothing, no sugar, letting her air out etc
