Mothers day?

So mothers day is coming up and I have someone who is very close to me and is like a mother figure to me and I want to get her a necklace or chain with her childrens name on it... is that Wierd? 🤔

Being that she’s technically not your mother that’s something that would come from her kids, I would just go with something basic like flowers or some kind of baked goods, a cake, cupcakes, maybe some perfume, but something personalized like that with her children should come from her children not from you, unless you want to add your name to it as well, but that may be overstepping since you were technically not her kid. And you also don’t want to step on her actual kids toes and doing some thing better than her actual kids, they may resent you for it. Maybe take her out to eat, if her kids aren’t even around, you have no clue what they are planning, and you don’t wanna make them look bad￼

It doesn't have to be your mom in order to gift them. And considering you see her as a mother figure I think it would be a lovely gift. My best friend and I usually buy each other small gifts since it's mothers day after all, you can gift any of mother doesn't have to be yours specifically.
